Donny Osmond and his sister Marie currently host a chat show on US TV

The song Crazy Horses originally reached number two in 1972 and has been released since in a remixed version, although it failed to chart.

In the advert the guitar track is used to back shots of a motorcyclist riding through the wilderness.

The Mormon band from Utah had a string of hits in the 1970s including the number one Love Me For A Reason which was later covered by Boyzone.

There were also spin-offs from the group. Donny had hits on his own with Puppy Love and Too Young, and Little Jimmy Osmond had a hit with Long Haired Lover From Liverpool.

Donny and Marie Osmond, who used to perform as a double act, also recently returned to US TV screens after a 20-year absence. The two host a daytime chat show called Donny and Marie, the same title as the variety show the brother and sister hosted in the 1970s.

But not everthing is going according to plan for Donny Osmond, the band's most popular pinup.

The actor and singer who has been racing as a hobby for the past 8 years had a narrow escape at the weekend. He crashed during the Toyota Celebrity Grand Prix in Long Beach, California, and had to be rescued from his car by the emergency services.
