The story received national media attention last week |
The pre-operation transsexual star of a controversial reality show has said she thought some of the male contestants wooing her had suspected she was a man. Miriam said she was surprised at attempts to have There's Something About Miriam pulled from Sky One.
Some of the six men, seen being intimate with her before being told she was a man, allege conspiracy to sexual assault along with other charges.
"The producers warned the boys that there would be shocks," Miriam said.
"Several of them wondered about me in the first few days. But as the series unfolded, I really thought that we got to like and know each other as friends and had a lot of fun," she said.

"I made some good friends on the show and I hope that we can all have a happy reunion one day." Sky One said on Friday the show was not on its schedules after the threat of possible legal action from the six contestants.
The South American transsexual, who gave her age as 21, denied that the men had only found out about her identity when she had lifted up her skirt.
'Insight'
"I want to say that I would never lift my skirt up on national TV. My mother brought me up very well," she said.
Miriam also said the programme would give an insight into the lives of transsexuals, saying it would "help people understand better what people like me are all about".
Lawyer Rod Christie-Miller, who represents the men, told BBC News Online on Friday the programme had "a devastating effect on these young guys" and warned this would be "magnified a millionfold" if it was shown.
Viewers were to be told at the start of the show Miriam was a male-to-female transsexual.
But the contestants, who are said to include a Royal Marine commando, a ski instructor and an ex-lifeguard, only discovered the truth when Miriam picked the winner.
