Eminem's ex under house arrest
Kimberly Mathers in court in Michigan on July 1, 2003
Kimberly Mathers married Eminem in 1999
The former wife of rapper Eminem has been electronically tagged after missing two court appearances.

Kimberly Mathers, the mother of Eminem's daughter, is accused of possessing up to 25 grams of cocaine and two driving offences.

She allegedly failed to attend court appearances at Macomb County court in Michigan on Monday and Tuesday.

Ms Mathers attended court on Thursday after a warrant was issued. A pre-trial hearing is set for 11 December.

The motoring charges are driving with a suspended licence and unsafe driving near a stopped emergency vehicle.

Police say an officer stopped Ms Mathers after she allegedly failed to properly merge with other cars before a construction barricade and steer clear of a police car.

Turbulent

The St Clair Shores police allege they found cocaine on Ms Mathers' person and in the car after they arrested her for the driving charges.

The 28-year-old will now only be allowed to leave her home for court dates and counselling sessions and will be electronically tagged until her next court appearance.

Judge Edward Servitto said Ms Mathers' lawyer Michael Smith had persuaded him not to impose a custodial sentence.

Ms Mathers divorced award-winning rap star Eminem - real name Marshall Mathers III - in 2001 following a reportedly stormy marriage.

They married in June 1999 and had a daughter, Hailie Jade.

Eminem has rapped in his songs about killing his former wife, leading to accusations that he dislikes women.

Kimberly Mathers previously sued her former husband for defamation over the lyrics in his song, Kim.
