Almost the entire cast will travel to Salford Cathedral on Tuesday to celebrate the life of the star, who played the Street's grocer Alf Roberts for 37 years. The soap's two longest serving names, William Roache, who plays Ken Barlow and Eileen Derbyshire, who stars as Emily Bishop, will be among the names to address the service. Comedians Ken Dodd and Bobby Ball will also speak in Mosley's memory and entertainer Syd Little will read a letter from Sir Cliff Richard. Granada Television have taken the rare step of rescheduling filming to allow all the cast who knew the actor to attend the service, as requested by Mosley's widow Norma and his family. "The family held a private funeral service but wanted everyone who knew Bryan to be able to celebrate his life in this way", said a Granada spokeswoman. Mosley, who had a history of heart trouble, died after collapsing in the Street in Shipley less than six weeks after his retirement from the programme. He was 67. Albarn, who lives in London's trendy Notting Hill but owns a house and bar in Iceland, apparently declared the country was "the best in the world". "I just love the people", he said, also admitting that he could not speak Icelandic. Some 250,000 people are expected to attend this year's two-day July concert which will be held at the 3,600-acre Grifiss Park, in New York. Aerosmith, Sheryl Crow, Counting Crows, Ice Cube, Alanis Morissette, Willie Nelson and Rage Against the Machine are among the many bands scheduled to play. The original 1969 Woodstock Festival in Bethel, upstate New York, was one of the defining moments of flower power culture. The 21-year-old heart-throb was to host a second run of the music talent show which teams up wannabe pop stars with record producers, but has reportedly pulled out. "He won't be doing another series" said Keating's manager. "He wants to carry on being a pop star". Monday night's edition of the show pulled in just 4.5 million viewers, trounced by an ITV documentary on Martine McCutcheon which was watched by 7.5 million. The singer's three daughters filed a $50m wrongful death lawsuit against Dr Wallis Marsh of Pittsburgh, saying he didn't monitor her condition closely and overprescribed medication. Wynette's fifth husband George Richey is also accused of not seeking the medical care that Dr Marsh advised.
