Carly set to reveal Vain man

Singer Carly Simon will finally disclose who inspired her 1972 hit song You're So Vain - but only to one fan.

She will tell the highest bidder in an auction next week to raise money for Martha's Vineyard, the Massachusetts island where she lives.

But the winner must first sign an agreement never to repeat the secret, People magazine has reported.

Despite repeatedly being asked by interviewers, Simon, 58, has never revealed the name.

Mick Jagger, Cat Stevens, Warren Beatty and her ex-husband James Taylor have all been suggested as possibilities.

Cruise accepted a donation of $150,000 (93,000) on behalf of The Film Foundation, which aims to preserve and restore films.

The Association has contributed more than $3.5m (2.1m) over the last nine years.

Connery film to help flood victims

Sean Connery will attend a charity screening of his latest film in Prague to aid victims of last year's floods in the Czech Republic.

The Scottish actor was filming The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen in Prague when the floods hit the city last August.

More than 200,000 people lost their homes and 18 people died after the banks of the Vltava river broke.

The screening will take place on 12 August, a few weeks before the film opens in the UK at the end of September.

Terry Nutkins reveals film hopes

Wildlife children's TV presenter Terry Nutkins is hoping his life story can be made into a feature film.

The former Really Wild Show host said the story would mainly focus on his childhood experiences of growing up with author Gavin Maxwell, whose life was documented in the film, Ring Of Bright Water.

"It's an adventure, with wonderful scenery and wildlife. This could be as good as Free Willy," said the 51-year-old.

The animal expert said he is meeting interested parties over the next few weeks, including ITV director of programming, Nigel Pickard.

The pair also attracted attention at a previous event by arriving separately, with one in a helicopter and the other in a speedboat.
