Singer David Bowie performed to tens of thousands of fans on Monday when an intimate concert was beamed into cinemas around the world. Bowie launched his new album Reality at the Riverside studios, London. He also answered questions and took requests.
Fans in Europe watched the show live - but it was being aired later in other countries due to time differences.
"This is another example of how Bowie constantly pushes the boundaries," a spokesman for the singer said.

Bowie, 56, was expected to play Reality in full during the 90-minute show, as well as classic tracks such as Changes and Jean Genie.
The concert was being shown in cinemas in cities including Rio de Janeiro, Warsaw, Tokyo and Sydney.
More than 20 cinemas across Europe received it live by satellite while audiences in Asia, Japan and Australia were due to see it the following day.
In the United States, Canada and South America, it will be screened on 15 September - the day Reality is released.
The show was shot in widescreen and the sound uses digital technology to give normal cinema quality.
Bowie, who began his recording career in the 1960s, has won critical acclaim for recent albums, having won a Mercury Music Prize nomination for his most recent album, Heathen.
