Berry was also injured on the set of Die Another Day |
Actress Halle Berry has broken her arm while shooting her latest movie. Filming of the supernatural thriller Gothika closed down after the accident on the Canadian film set.
Producers on the movie, in which Berry plays a criminal psychologist, have shut down the production for a week to give the star a chance to recover.
"It wasn't a stunt scene, it was just one of the physical scenes in a movie," said a Warner Brothers spokesman.
"Her arm didn't go the way it was supposed to."
The star was taken to a Montreal hospital where doctors discovered she had broken her ulna, a bone that extends from her wrist to her elbow.
Eye injury
Her right arm was put in a plaster cast before she was released.
Berry, 34, is expected back on set next week when filming will resume.
Producers Robert Zemeckis and Joel Silver are working out a way to shoot around Berry's cast.
Berry suffered injury on the set of the James Bond movie Die Another Day during a helicopter explosion stunt in 2002.
Debris from a smoke grenade lodged in the actress' eye but after treatment in hospital she returned to the Spanish set.
Although she suffered an inflamed eye there was no lasting damage.
Gothika, a modern ghost story starring Robert Downey Jr and Penelope Cruz, is due out in the US in October.
