Nicole Kidman is preparing to sign a �5m deal to promote fashion house Chanel, according to reports in the UK. The Sun newspaper claims the Oscar-winning star is planning to sign a deal to appear in glossy advertisements for the company, following in the footsteps of Ali MacGraw and Lauren Hutton.
If the deal goes through, she would join the likes of Catherine Zeta Jones, who promotes Elizabeth Arden, and Uma Thurman, who is contracted to Lancome.
The newspaper said an announcement was expected in two weeks.
Kidman, who is 36 on Friday, won the best actress Oscar earlier this year for playing Virginia Woolf in The Hours.
She will soon be seen in new film Dogville, which made its debut at Cannes last month, and American Civil War drama Cold Mountain, in which she stars alongside Jude Law.
