Douglas had also placed an ad praising his wife |
Hollywood couple Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas have spent thousands of pound on an ad praising Canadian singer Celine Dion. The couple took a full-page ad - costing 11,500 - in US film paper Variety, ahead of Dion's first show in her Las Vegas residency.
The ad reads: "Celine, we can't wait to see your show! All our best wishes, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones."
Dion is about to start a three-year residency at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.
The message also comes days after Douglas took out another ad in the paper, congratulating his wife on her nomination for best supporting actress in Chicago.
That letter, also signed by their baby son Dylan, said: "Dear Catherine/Mom, we were there while you made Chicago, we know how hard you worked, and we know what a joy it turned out to be. We love you, Michael and Dylan."
Dion will spend the next three years playing in Las Vegas |
Zeta Jones has also singled out Douglas at a speech thanking Oscar voters for nominating her at the Screen Actors' Guild awards last week.
The 33-year-old pregnant star said: "I'd just like to thank my husband, who is my biggest, biggest support mechanism, and probably my best, favourite actor in the world. I love you."
Also during the speech she thanked the other actors and crew she had worked on Chicago with.
"If I wasn't pregnant I would do it all over again with you, I promise, " she said.
The couple have recently been in the UK contesting the privacy case against Hello! magazine, which published photos of their 2000 wedding without their permission.
