Country music legend Johnny Cash is in hospital in Nashville, in the United States, after suffering from a repeat bout of pneumonia. The 71-year-old singer, who was admitted last Monday to Baptist Hospital, is in stable condition, said hospital spokeswoman Melissa Cantrell.
"He has a slight case of pneumonia and we expect to release him soon", she said.
Cash suffers from autonomic neuropathy, a disease of the nervous system that makes him susceptible to pneumonia.

Minnelli cancels anniversary party
Liza Minnelli and husband David Guest have cancelled a party to celebrate their first wedding anniversary because of the impending war with Iraq.
More than 1,200 guests were invited to the planned 15 April party at the Marriott Marquis hotel in New York.
"We held off sending our invitations out because we want to have our party when the world is at peace and people can come and enjoy themselves," Minnelli said.
A new date will be announced when the Iraq crisis is resolved.
Zellweger film opens Tribeca festival
Romantic comedy Down With Love, starring Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor, will open the Tribeca Film Festival, in New York, in May.
Actor Robert De Niro helped found the festival last year to boost the lower Manhattan economy after the 11 September terrorist attacks.
In the 1960s-style comedy, Zellweger plays a woman who has sworn off love and McGregor is a playboy who thinks he does not need love.
The festival, which runs from 3 to 11 May, is longer than last year's, with more than 200 premi�re screenings, as well as panel discussions and filmmaker events.
