Robinson to host Bafta show
Anne Robinson is to host next month's British Academy television awards celebrating the cream of the UK's TV talent.

The event, sponsored by Radio Times, takes place on 13 April at the London Palladium theatre. It will be televised on the night.

Nominations for the awards - in field such as drama, entertainment, sport and current affairs - are announced on 17 March.

Following her appointment, Robinson said: "At the risk of sounding like Gwyneth Paltrow, I am honoured."


Master P stalker jailed

A man who stalked rapper Master P has been jailed for a year in Chicago.

Antwan Kevin Baker, 32, was also told to stay at least 100 metres away from the rap star for the next ten years, and has been put on three years probation.

Prosecution said Mr Baker had stalked the rap star for two years. He was arrested in April 2002 after allegedly making threatening phone calls to the star's security.

Master P, from New Orleans, is the rapper behind the hugely successful No Limit Records label.


Charity labour for Winkelman

BBC presenter Claudia Winkelman is to raise money for Comic Relief through a sponsored 'labour'.

The Liquid News presenter is expecting to give birth to her child on 14 March - Red Nose Day.

"The idea is that I get as many people as possible to sponsor me per hour of labour agony that I endure," she said.

Celebrities including Gary Lineker and Gareth Gates have promised money.
