Former Big Brother contestant Jade Goody is expecting her first baby.

The star, who became famous for her loud-mouth antics in the Channel 4 reality TV programme, said she was "delighted".

"This is the best thing that could have happened to me," she said.

Her partner, Jeff Brazier, has also appeared on reality TV, on Shipwrecked and once played football for Leyton Orient.

The couple met a few weeks after Jade, 21, lost out to Kate Lawler on Big Brother last July.

Despite losing and missing out on the �70,000, Jade's ill-informed comments, such as "Is East Anglia abroad?" and antics on the programme made her a star.

Celebrities

She has appeared on numerous television programmes, released a fitness video and appeared in pantomime in Kent.

Few of the Big Brother contestants have gone on to be celebrities.

Brian Dowling, the winner of Big Brother 2, now presents SM:TV on ITV1.

Kate Lawler has gone on to present a radio show on Capital FM, while Craig Phillips, winner of the first Big Brother, helps present a DIY programme on BBC TV.
