| Friday, 22 November, 2002, 17:59 GMT C4's Rise moves to shopping arcade ![]() Rise is moving to a shopping centre Channel 4's troubled breakfast show Rise is to broadcast from a London shopping centre from January as it tries to boost ratings. The revamp is a bid to reverse the show's low ratings. The show is currently filmed in a BSkyB studio at Isleworth, west London. The show will be broadcast from the top floor of the Whiteleys complex in Bayswater, central London, with a backdrop of the capital behind the presenters. A spokeswoman for the show said the studio was a "purpose-built loft style studio" and gave "beautiful views over the city".
The show, which was launched as a replacement for the long-running Big Breakfast, has failed to attract large audiences. New editor As of last week the show was only boasting 300,000 viewers. The show has also appointed a new editor as part of the revamp. Justin Gorman, who used to work on talent shows Popstars and Model Behaviour, has joined the programme. He is the show's third editor since it launched in April. A spokeswoman said he was already working on the programme and there were no planned changes to the cast of presenters, which also includes Edith Bowman, Kirsty Gallacher, Chris Rogers, Mark Durden-Smith and Liz Bonnin. The show recently lost one of its launch presenters, Colin Murray. It has been dogged by bad press and low ratings, although it picked up viewers during the summer, when it had exclusive access to evictees from the channel's Big Brother programme. | See also: 09 Jun 02 | Entertainment 03 May 02 | Entertainment 30 Apr 02 | Entertainment Top Entertainment stories now: Links to more Entertainment stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
