| Sunday, 27 October, 2002, 18:41 GMT Timberlake fails to top chart ![]() Justin Timberlake: Jackson-influenced track Justin Timberlake's solo debut has failed to knock rapper Nelly from the top of the UK singles chart. The N'Sync singer's Like I Love You was heavily tipped to shoot straight to the top of the charts. But the Michael Jackson-influenced track could not muster enough sales to beat Nelly's worldwide hit Dilemma, which features Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland.
Boy band Blue's One Love follows behind Timberlake at number three, while novelty hit The Ketchup Song falls to number four. U2's new single Electrical Storm is the only other new entry in the top ten, at number five. Other new entries include US rock stalwarts Red Hot Chili Peppers, who come into the chart at number 11 with The Zephyr Song, and Pop Idol contestant Rosie Ribbons, whose track Blink enters at number 12. Scottish rockers Idlewild, on tour with Coldplay, come into the charts at 26 with Live In A Hiding Place. The band lost bassist Bob Fairfoull on the eve of their tour because of "personal problems".
US rock band Foo Fighters enter the album chart at number one with One By One, knocking Pop Idol winner Will Young's From Now On down to number four. Nelly's Nellyville rises to two, while former Verve singer Richard Ashcroft's Human Comditions is a new entry at number three. S Club Juniors' Together debuts at number five, while Feeder's album Comfort In Sound enters at number six. The album marks the Welsh group's comeback following the suicide of drummer Jon Lee in January. | See also: 21 Oct 02 | Entertainment 20 Oct 02 | Entertainment 16 Oct 02 | Entertainment Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top Entertainment stories now: Links to more Entertainment stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
