| Friday, 6 September, 2002, 08:40 GMT 09:40 UK Cameron leaves jungle show ![]() The group has been whittled down to four Comedian Rhona Cameron is the latest contestant to be booted out of the jungle on the celebrity survivor TV show. The feisty star is the fourth person to leave the Australian outback setting of ITV1's Help I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! after polling the least number of votes for who the public wants to win. Bookmakers are now predicting they could be left out of pocket over the winner after a flurry of bets were placed on veteran DJ Tony Blackburn - the only male left in the camp. He is joint favourite to win with model Nell McAndrew, who has hardly uttered a word on camera during her stay, with odds of 2-1, according to Ladbrokes. A spokesman for the bookmakers said: "We are quite concerned about it. It's suddenly taken off.
Socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson is at 5-2 with Christine Hamilton, wife of disgraced former Tory MP Neil Hamilton, on 4-1. Rich and posh Viewers saw Cameron leave the show on Thursday night, bound for the comforts of a hot shower and a hotel bed. She had several furious bust-ups with TV presenter Darren Day and boxer Nigel Benn, who have already left the camp, but they eventually sorted out their differences.
"To be honest with you I always thought I would go in the middle, from day one." She predicted that McAndrew would go on to win because she was inoffensive. But she said she would like to see Palmer-Tomkinson win the money for charity. She added: "I don't care that she's posh and rich and a millionaire and all the rest of it. I like her playful nature. She's just got on and had a laugh." Cameron also admitted to having a fiery temper. She added: "I'm an argumentative person but I do tend to think that I'm a person that doesn't take any crap and because I'm not a nice little girlie that tends to irritate people more." After toughing it out in the jungle for two weeks, the winner of the show will be revealed on Sunday night. | See also: 06 Sep 02 | Entertainment 04 Sep 02 | Entertainment 03 Sep 02 | Entertainment 27 Aug 02 | Entertainment 30 Aug 02 | Newsmakers 04 Sep 02 | Entertainment Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top Entertainment stories now: Links to more Entertainment stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
