Eminem's latest album has gone triple platinum in the US little more than a month after it was released.

The Eminem Show has hung onto the number one spot for the fifth week running, notching up sales of 3.3 million, according to SoundScan chart trackers.

The rapper, also known as Slim Shady, beat off competition from another big American act, Papa Roach.

The nu-metal rockers had to be content with second place with Lovehatetragedy, which sold 136,000 copies.

The previous week rock band Korn had failed to halt the domination of the controversial Eminem.
