The Swedish group won critical acclaim for their recent third album, Behind The Music, with its mix of 1970s hard rock and 1960s psychedelia. Singer Ebbot Lundberg rummaged through his musical memories and picked out some of his favourite songs. Name the last album you bought. I just bought the new Damned album today and I'm very curious about it. Name the first record you bought. I think it was On The Strip with Paul Nicholas, or was it Stranglehold by UK Subs? Has anyone recorded the perfect album? What is it? It's the Akashic record. It was made by the creator. It's been released from time to time, and we're actually working on it. Who is the best live act in the world? Is it Soundtrack Of Our Lives? Yes, I believe so. 1960s or 1970s - which was the best decade for music and fashion? The '20s beats them all. Are there songs you can't listen to because they remind you of something you would rather forget? Unfortunately about 99% of music of the past 20 years I would like to forget. Which song do you wish you had written? I've written a couple already, but the best is yet to come. Which song from the past 12 months is most likely to gain classic status? Kick Out Your Friends by The Salmonellas or any Soundtrack Of Our Lives tune. If you organised a fantasy music festival, who would be on the bill? Peter Pan And The Paranoids, Charlie Chaplin, Love, Hoagy Carmichael, Motorhead (with Hulk Hogan), Stan and Oliver Hardy singing Nick Drake songs, Black Flag, Captain Beeheart, Sweet. |
