Its star Buzz Lightyear was voted the favourite Disney hero, with his Tom Hanks-voiced co-star Woody second.
The poll of 4,000 Disney fans favoured modern movies over established greats. The Jungle Book was in second place followed by Toy Story 2, last year's Monsters Inc and The Lion King. Bambi and Lady and the Tramp did relatively well - but there was no place in the poll for Dumbo, Fantasia or Snow White. New films It seems modern audiences are less inspired by sentimental scenes such as the death of Bambi's mother and more by sly cultural references in the likes of Toy Story. The survey was carried out by the BBC to mark the launch of Disney Girl and Disney's Comic, two new magazines aimed at pre-teens.
Their films for Disney have made more than $1.7bn (�1.1bn) worldwide. Their Monsters Inc was the second most successful animated movie of all time, behind The Lion King.
