Rowan Atkinson will play the bungling agent

Imbruglia makes her movie debut as special agent Lorna Campbell, the object of English's affection, while double Oscar nominee Malkovich plays sidekick Bough.

Imbruglia started her showbusiness career as an actress in the long-running Australian soap Neighbours, playing the part of Beth.

She left the show in 1994 to pursue music and produced a double platinum-selling album, Left of the Middle.

This was followed up in 2001 with White Lilies Island.

She said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be working with such revered actors on my first movie.

"It's a really exciting project and I can't wait to get started."

Shooting on the movie will take place at Shepperton Studios in London and on location in England.

Atkinson has himself appeared in a James Bond movie, playing the part of Nigel Small-Fawcett in Never Say Never Again.

The Mr Bean star was last seen in the farce Rat Race and will soon appear in the live action movie Scooby Doo.

Hollywood actor Malkovich has appeared in nearly 50 movies including such acclaimed titles as The Killing Fields, Of Mice and Men, Dangerous Liaisons and Being John Malkovich.
