After a successful stint on Broadway, a musical based on the British film The Full Monty has arrived in London's West End

The big difference from the film is that the location has shifted from Sheffield to Buffalo in upstate New York.

"Right from the outset there is naked flesh on display which helps everyone get into the "whoopin' an a hollerin" spirit," says BBC News Online's Keily Oakes.

Does the location matter? Does it work as a musical?

I must tell you that I was very surprised to hear the comments of the reviewer for the BBC. I flew over from the US to see Jarrod Emick in particular in the lead role. I have seen him in many shows in America and find him to be one of the greatest talents we have. Hence why he won the Tony award for Damn Yankees in 1994!

I managed to see the show a few times while over in London and plan to fly back, should your review not kill the entire show!

I was interviewed at the opening of the Broadway show for the BBC and I hold steadfast to what I said then...the musical is just plain fun. Questioning where the locale should be is completely wrong. What we need to look for in this day and age in a musical is something that will hold an audience's interest. I defy your reviewer to say that no one in that theatre was having fun. From what I have heard, people were standing out of their seats before the actual finale took place. Doesn't that suggest a hit? If it doesn't, then perhaps it should.

I went to see the show with work colleagues, having loved the film, but not sure what to expect from the stage version. When I first heard the American accents, I was unsure, but it was really fantastic! Hilarious, great fun, entertaining and Dora Bryan was superb (wish I could kick as high as her and I'm only half her age!!). I hope this show runs and runs and I'd love to see it again!

I saw the show but forgot to my opera glasses. However as Ms Oakes points out, who needs them? They'd only get covered with hot fat. SIZZLE.
