 | | Monday, 4 March, 2002, 18:28 GMT Dame Liz 'marries' Sir Elton  Dame Elizabeth is a close friend of Michael Jackson Hollywood legend Dame Elizabeth Taylor will play Sir Elton John's wife in his new video. US singer Mandy Moore will also appear in the video for Original Sin, playing their daughter. Taylor and Moore are the latest celebrities that have been drafted in to the singer's recent promos. Actor Robert Downey Jr appeared in Sir Elton's I Want Love video, which was nominated for a Brit award, and Britney Spears' boyfriend Justin Timberlake played a younger version of the singer in This Train Don't Stop Here Anymore. In the latest video, set in the 1970s, Moore will play a Sir Elton fan who is desperate to see her hero in concert.
The video is being directed by famous photographer David LaChapelle, who was behind Moby's promo for Natural Blues. Taylor recently celebrated her 70th birthday. She is to be Liza Minnelli's matron of honour when the Cabaret star gets married later this month in New York. Success In recent years the two-time Oscar winner has concentrated more on her charity work than acting. Her last appearance in front of the cameras was the US TV movie These Old Broads in 2001, alongside Joan Collins, Debbie Reynolds and Shirley MacLaine. Sir Elton has enjoyed a revival of late, thanks to his top ten album Songs From the West Coast.
