Half-Life has been a hugely successful PC game since it was first launched in 1998 and now it has been revamped for the Playstation 2.

"Some elements of the game have been tweaked, with enhanced graphics and improved characters and environments," says the BBC News Online's Alfred Hermida.

He added: "But the PS2 version succeeds in retaining the exciting and challenging nature of the original."

Yes, the PS2 version will reach gamers who doesn't have a PC. But the secret of Half-Life Longivity is it's ability to add mods to the game such as Counter-Strike and Team Fortress. I'm afraid that the game as it stands will not prove to be as much of a success as the PC as been.
