Bruce Lee is to be "resurrected" by computer technology to star in Dragon Warrior, the first time a dead actor will be re-created in a major movie role, according to US trade magazine Variety. The $50m (�35m) film is being financed by South Korean film company ShinCine Communications, which acquired the rights to Lee's likeness from his estate. The film company, headed by Chul Shin, is said to have been working on the project for the past four years. And apparently Lee's widow, Linda Lee Caldwell, and his daughter, Shannon Lee, have agreed to the move.
Shannon Lee told Variety: "We believe in ShinCine's and Mr Shin's enthusiasm and commitment to making a first-rate film.'' Now in its third draft by Korean and Japanese writers, Dragon Warrior will be translated and further refined for an English-language production. Bruce Lee was a veteran of Hong Kong cinema when he first reached mainstream American audiences in 1966 as Kato in the television series The Green Hornet. Worldwide fame He starred in films such as Fist of Fury, Way of the Dragon and Enter the Dragon. He died aged 32 of a brain swelling and soon after his death achieved worldwide fame due to the success of Enter the Dragon. His son Brandon was also a martial arts film star, who died in 1993 after a shooting accident on the set of The Crow.
