Caine, who has won two Oscars, is said to be lined up to play a security specialist in the Royal Navy in Austin Powers 3: Goldmember, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The film will see Mike Myers reprise his successful spoof spy character Powers as well as Dr Evil and Fat Bastard, and will play new villain Goldmember. The film is scheduled to be released in summer 2002, the paper added. Gallagher and Weller kick off Later Oasis star Noel Gallagher will join Paul Weller to launch the new series of BBC2 music show Later with Jools Holland on Friday. Former Jam frontman Weller will be the focus of a one-hour acoustic special to mark the release of an album with tracks spanning his 24-year career. Gallagher, a well-known Weller fan, is about to play a series of shows to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Oasis's first concert. The performance will begin the 18th series of former Squeeze musician Holland's new and alternative music show. DJs Cox and Carter marry in secret Radio host Sara Cox has married her club DJ fianc�e Jon Carter in a low-key ceremony. The couple were wed in front of a handful of guests at Finsbury register office, north London, before holding a more formal celebration in Ireland on Saturday. "She did the legal side of the ceremony yesterday but this weekend they will hold the whole wedding celebration," a spokeswoman said. Cox, who hosts the breakfast show on BBC Radio 1, got engaged to dance music DJ Carter in May. REM and Kylie for MTV awards REM and Kylie Minogue are among the music stars who will perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Frankfurt in November. They will join Blink 182, Craig David, Depeche Mode, Destiny's Child and Dido, with Alicia Keys, Samantha Mumba, Shaggy and Sophie Ellis-Bextor confirmed to present awards. Virtual pop band Gorillaz lead the nominations, with six, while U2, Eminem, Dido, Craig David and Limp Bizkit have four each. "The MTV Europe Music Awards 2001 show is going to be the most innovative we have produced to date," the show's executive producer Richard Godfrey said. Shannen Doherty gets drink-driving punishment Actress Shannen Doherty will spend five days in a work-release programme as part of a punishment for a drink-driving conviction. Doherty, who has starred in Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed, has already given talks to teenagers about the dangers of driving under the influence. The work-release spell is the minimum sentence, Deputy District Attorney Ian Morse said.
