Daughter for Big Brother host
Davina McCall and Matthew Robertson
Davina McCall praised husband Matthew Robertson
Big Brother host Davina McCall has given birth to daughter Holly Willow after a pregnancy witnessed by millions.

Baby Holly arrived a week late, weighing in at 8lb 12oz at McCall's home in Chiswick, west London, which she shares with her husband, TV presenter Matthew Robertson.

McCall, 33, presented Big Brother II and Don't Try This At Home throughout her pregnancy and worked right up until the time of the birth.

Big Brother viewers saw several of the contestants ask after her "bump" each week as they were evicted.

McCall had a natural birth, overseen by two midwives.

She said in a statement: "We are all doing brilliantly and I can't heap enough praise on my husband and midwives Caroline Flint and Pam Wilde."

Stars' troubles

While pregnant, McCall also filmed a new series which will reunite her with former Big Brother contestant Anna Noble.

Davina's Closure, to be screened on the digital channel BBC Choice, will see her acting as agony aunt to sort out viewers' and stars' troubles.

The programme has a nine-week run and among the celebrities seeking help are pop stars Dane Bowers, Hear'Say and chart-toppers Blue.

A spokeswoman said: "Over the weeks, Davina meets members of the public and celebrities who all have something they want to get off their chests and put it behind them for good."

McCall met her husband Matthew as they were both walking their dogs in a park last year.

She is said to have fallen pregnant while the couple enjoyed a Christmas holiday.
