| Tuesday, 18 September, 2001, 11:26 GMT 12:26 UK Pop and punk memories for sale ![]() The Spice Girls' Mini was used at the 1998 Brit awards Rock and pop memorabilia spanning Elvis Presley to the Spice Girls is going under the hammer this week in London. Unseen footage from the Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour, an early recording of Elvis Presley and a Spice Girls customised Mini are among the items being auctioned on Tuesday at the Hard Rock Caf�. The collection has been assembled by Fleetwood Owen, an entertainment memorabilia house co-founded by Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood.
One of the most unusual items on sale is Presley's army sewing kit, for which bids are expected in the region of �600 to �800. Tour jacket Unseen film from The Beatles' 1967 feature film Magical Mystery Tour is expected to raise �3,000 to �4,000, while alternative footage for the band's Hello Goodbye promotional film has been priced at �1,800 to �2,000. And a tour jacket worn by the Rolling Stones' Keith Richards in 1978 has been priced at �3,000 to �3,500. A spokeswoman for Fleetwood Owen told BBC New Online: "There has been a lot of interest in the Beatles memorabilia, as always - especially as these Beatles items are quite unusual.
Two days later Sotheby's is to auction a collection of Sex Pistols memorabilia - 25 years exactly after the historic "Punk Rock Special" concert at London's 100 Club. The collection belongs to Helen Wellington-Lloyd, a friend of the band's one-time manager Malcolm McLaren. A flyer for the 100 Club concert is expected to fetch �600 to �800. 'Positive reponse' Sex Pistols singer Johnny Rotten's customised "Anarchy" shirt has been priced at �2,000 to �3,000, while a copy of the band's withdrawn single God Save The Queen on A&M Records is estimated at �1,800 to �2,200.
Sotheby's is also auctioning some Beatles memorabilia, including a two-page letter written by John Lennon to a fan in 1967 which is expected to fetch �20,000 to �25,000. Lennon's suede jacket from 1963 is estimated at �25,000 to �30,000.
