 | | Thursday, 5 July, 2001, 15:51 GMT 16:51 UK Indiana Jones 'set for comeback'  Father and son: Sir Sean Connery and Harrison Ford Harrison Ford and Sir Sean Connery could be teaming up again for a fourth instalment of Indiana Jones, according to reports. The New York Post reports bosses at Paramount Pictures are considering scripts for another film, 12 years after the last Indiana Jones movie. Ford is said to be keen to reprise the title role of the adventure-hungry archaeologist. Sir Sean is also reportedly keen to return to the role of Indiana Jones' father, after playing Professor Henry Jones Snr in the Last Crusade. George Lucas and Steven Spielberg are tipped to take back the reigns as producer and director respectively. However, a spokeswoman at Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles told BBC News Online: "These rumours come round every couple of months. It's idle gossip." Asked if it was likely that Ford and Sir Sean would work together again, she said: "You never know."
Ford, 59, was last seen playing the swashbuckling hero in The Last Crusade, searching for the Holy Grail. 'Atlantis' Raiders of the Lost Ark, the first in the series, was released in 1981. This was followed by The Temple of Doom in 1984. Reports suggest there are three scripts being examined by Paramount with the possibility it could be set in Atlantis. Although Ford had appeared as Han Solo in the Star Wars trilogy, it was his role as the whip-wielding Indy that put him on the acting A-list. The Fugitive, Clear and Present Danger and Air Force One have all proved box office successes in the past 10 years.
