Big Brother contestant Paul has been nominated for eviction by his housemates for a fourth consecutive time.

The 25-year-old will go head-to-head with lap dancer Amma to see who will be the fifth person to be evicted from the second series of Big Brother.

Amma will face her first eviction vote and can ask for advice from Paul, who has seen Stuart, Narinder and Bubble all being evicted ahead of him.

Viewers of the programme will vote to decide who leaves the programme on Friday.

Bookmakers Coral have already installed Amma as the firm favourite to be evicted from the house, with odds of 1-6 on. Paul is 9-2 to finally get the push.

But some doubts remain over the reliability of the voting system after some people were duped into ringing the Big Brother eviction hotline by a bogus email.

It is the second time stories of bogus emails encouraging people to ring the eviction hotline under false pretences has emerged.

'Strictly monitored'

Channel 4 says it is happy with the telephone voting system and insists it is scrupulously checked by an independent adjudicator.

"All Big Brother eviction votes are strictly monitored and are audited by an independent adjudicator," the programme makers said in a statement.

"We're satisfied that our independent adjudicator will have taken every measure possible to ensure the vote was fair.

"Televote rigging is extremely difficult to achieve and would have to be on an enormous scale to have any influence on a vote of this size."

Last week, some people received emails encouraging them to ring a football club information line only to find they had instead voted to evict Big Brother contestant Bubble.

Once the phone line is dialled it is automatically registered as a vote and callers are not offered an opportunity to verify their vote by pressing a key.

But Channel 4 has not indicated it is considering changing the system, leaving open the possibility of continued problems.

Air steward Brian is now the 1/2 favourite to win the �70,000 first prize, followed by Dean at 4/1 and Paul at 7/1.
