| Friday, 29 June, 2001, 22:17 GMT 23:17 UK Bubble's Big Brother dream bursts ![]() Together again: Bubble with his girlfriend Stephanie Warehouse operative Bubble, 24, has become the fourth person to be evicted from Big Brother house. Despite support in the tabloid press Bubble's eviction received 53% of viewers' votes. Bubble was visibly shocked when news of the vote came through. Computer designer Paul Clarke, 25, escaped eviction - for the third time. Interviewed after he left the house, Bubble admitted to being devastated by his eviction.
"I wanted to stay and I wanted to win." He had kind words for his rival Paul: "He's a good looking lad, he's a nice guy - the more time we spent together the more we got on." And he admitted to having struck up a strong friendship with Brian: "He's the funniest man I've ever come across in my entire life." Asked by McCall who he thought would win the series, Bubble said: "I think it's a close call, but from the inside of the house, Brian - Brian or Dean." "I'd like Brian to win," he added. 'Gutted' But Bubble - who, outside the house has been regarded as one of the favourites to win the series - said he was "gutted" by the news. Bubble was nominated by Helen, who said: "We don't get on that well." Paul also chose Bubble. He said: "He is the loudest, which could cause a problem later on." The eviction leaves just three women and four men in the house. Breakfast Bubble's eviction day started late - the housemates had drunk six bottle of champagne and three bottles of cider the night before. Dean, Bubble and Helen eventually made breakfast - at lunchtime. Official bookmakers Paddy Power are already showing Helen as the favourite for next week's eviction at 6-4 - followed by Amma at 9-4. The bookmakers have cabin crew supervisor Brian, 23, as favourite to win the overall contest and 70,000 prize-money, with odds of 6-5. |
