| Friday, 15 June, 2001, 21:46 GMT 22:46 UK Stuart evicted from Big Brother ![]() Stuart walks from the Big Brother house Stuart Hosking has become the second person to be evicted from the Big Brother house. The 36-year-old company director was the overwhelming favourite to be evicted, with more than 86% of the telephone vote. Housemates had complained he was "too competitive".
Viewers of the Channel 4 programme heard Stuart said Amma had a "shallow" mind and she responded by urging people to vote him out. 'Nice guy' His departure means Paul remains in the house. More than a million people phoned the Big Brother eviction lines to choose who should leave the programme.
He told Helen before leaving the house: "I did not want to be the first out of the house. "I have got what I wanted out of this." He later told presenter Davina McCall that he was happy to leave the house. He said: "I am a nice guy believe it or not. "I wanted a challenge. Being locked in that environment you learn a lot about yourself." Public vote He admitted that he "should have walked away" when arguments erupted in the house. "There were plenty of occasions when I bit my tongue," he added. Brian is favourite to win the 70,000 prize, with odds of 2-1. Dean and Josh are second and third favourites. But Stuart said he wanted to Bubble to win the prize. Schoolteacher Penny Ellis was the first person to be voted out of the house, beating Helen in the public vote last week. There have also arguments between gay housemates Brian and Josh during a party for Brian's 23rd birthday.
Odds on the next eviction are already available. Helen and Narinder are joint favourites to be third to go, both at 7-4 - despite the fact that the housemates have not yet nominated a pair to be put to the public vote. The next round of nominations will take place on Monday and be screened on Tuesday. |
