Natalie's more of a rock'n'roll girl

From the very Steps-like The Way to Your Love and the R'n'B feel of Another Love to the very singable Not that Kind and the disco-style Make it Happen, the album uses a mixture of different feels but never tries to be too complicated or pretentious.

Mellow feel

As the album goes on, the songs move away from the more funky pop beat to a much more mellow feel.

Carried Away has a lovely melody but as you listen to Sweet Alibi and I Didn't Want You Anyway, you do feel that no song is remarkably different from the rest.

All the voices are very definable and each member of the band gets a chance to shine.

They do have the talent but this is not a greatly original album - there are echoes of the Steps/S Club 7 vibe and sometimes you are not sure whether you are listening to the same song or the next one.

However, they are all equally decent tracks.

To finish the album, they have recorded Monday Monday and Bridge Over Troubled Water, songs we all watched them perform in their auditions.

These songs are so timeless that no one can really spoil them and the harmonies are perfect. They are lovely versions of even lovelier songs and Hear'Say do them very well.

Exultant

They also act as a reminder of that traumatic auditioning process and how exultant the band must feel now that they have made it. A definite feel good end to the album.

They have shown young people that if you put your mind to it, with a little bit of luck and a lot of talent, your dreams can come true

I'm more of a rock'n'roll girl myself and this album is certainly nothing too taxing - just straight down the line, inoffensive, enjoyable pop.

Hear'say have certainly achieved their dream - a No 1 single and an album that I'm sure will do very well.

They are likeable people and whatever anyone may say about their music, they have shown young people that if you put your mind to it, with a little bit of luck and a lot of talent, your dreams can come true.

It may not be the most original and ground-breaking album but their talent comes through in the songs - well done guys.
