Charlie and Alan team up for Chelsea Flower Show
Trainspotting director Danny Boyle will premiere two new films as part of BBC Two's spring/summer schedule.

Gardening will also feature heavily in the line-up as it announces the return of the Chelsea Flower Show.

Perfect Strangers
Dark drama from Stephen Poliakoff
Alan Titchmarsh and Charlie Dimmock will join forces again to present live shows from the festival.

The �88m season also includes the US hit comedy show Malcolm in the Middle.

Boyle's duo of films follow the success of his last big-scale production of The Beach.

Drama for the new season includes Perfect Strangers by Shooting the Past writer/director Stephen Poliakoff.

Home Front in the Garden presenter Diarmud Gavin has a new series entitled Planet Patio, creating outdoor spaces into new rooms.

Loyd Grossman has left the Masterchef series after 10 years to be replaced by celebrity chef Gary Rhodes.

The show moves from BBC One to BBC Two.

BBC Two controller Jane Root said: "BBC Two is currently on a four-year high, proving that our ambition - to produce big ideas and tell big stories, but with a different twist.

"This spring and summer we're giving audiences more what they want and what we are best at - good quality programmes that don't talk down to viewers, but are rewarding, pleasurable and fun."
