| Wednesday, 21 March, 2001, 11:33 GMT Bee Gees hit BBC high note ![]() The Bee Gees played to an invited audience The Bee Gees played their only live show of 2001 on Tuesday night - to 200 people crammed into a radio studio in London. The Gibb brothers - Robin, Maurice and Barry - played an hour long show at Broadcasting House which go out on on BBC Radio 2 on 31 March. Delving into one of pop's great song catalogues they played hits ranging from 1967's Massachusetts - the first of their five number ones - to tracks from a forthcoming album. The audience - of competition winners and music industry guests - reserved their biggest cheers for classic like like Jive Talkin', How Deep Is Your Love and You Should Be Dancing. The band's new album, This Is Where I Came In will be released in the UK in early April 2001. The Bee Gees have been in talks to play a major outdoor concert next year. |
