| Thursday, 15 March, 2001, 11:45 GMT Norton gets in bed with Madonna ![]() Graham Norton: 'Got carried away' Comedian Graham Norton has bought a photograph of Madonna's eyes so he can hang it above his bed. Norton paid �10,000 for the photograph which was donated by Madonna to a celebrity auction to help Aids charity Crusaid. The picture was taken by the photographer Herb Ritts and had previously hung on the wall in Madonna's Los Angeles mansion.
"I'm going to hang it over the bed so she can watch me," he added. The auction was hosted by Film 2001 presenter Jonathan Ross at the Park Lane Hotel in central London. A total of �50,000 was raised for the charity. Duet Norton also bought a dress by fashion designer Thierry Mugler for �950. The dress had been worn by model and actress Jerry Hall. Norton said: "I've been trying to get her on the show for ages and I thought this would be the best way."
Darius Danesh - one of the hopefuls from the Popstars show which created the group - then sung a duet of Britney Spears' Hit Me Baby One More Time with Ross. Each of the 30 tables at the event had donated �500 to the charity to hear the song. BBC Radio 1 DJ Sara Cox paid �4,000 for a Swan Lake outfit used in the hit British movie Billy Elliot.
