| Friday, 26 January, 2001, 17:36 GMT Craig David sets Brits record ![]() Craig David: Six nominations for the young star Craig David has been awarded two further Brits nominations, setting a new record for nominations in one year. The young star is in the running for both best single and video categories, for 7 Days, which will be voted on by fans ahead of the ceremony on 26 February. He is already up for four nominations at this year's Brits, including best male artist, best album and best newcomer. The 19-year-old beats the record of five nominations set by group Blur in 1995 and 1996. The winner of the best single category will be decided by listeners of independent commercial radio stations while the best video category will be judged by viewers of The Box. Also nominated in both best single and video categories are Robbie Williams for Rock DJ, Sonique for It Feels So Good, Coldplay for Yellow, Toploader for Dancing in the Moonlight, All Saints for Pure Shores and Moloko for The Time is Now.
