Woody: Blissfully unaware of all the attention

Ball, 30, who gave birth after an elective Caesarean, said: "It is overwhelming, it is lovely. It has actually been very joyful.

"The whole thing has been pain-free, although I have under-estimated the sleepless nights.

"Norman is already a great dad. He gets up and helps in the middle of the night and he is very good at winding Woody."

And her husband added: "He's a Brighton fan."

The pair then thanked everyone who had arrived to bid them farewell.

The couple married in August last year

Ball married chart-topping musician and club DJ Cook in August last year at Babington Hall, Somerset, surrounded by scores of celebrity guests.

In May the couple revealed that they were expecting a baby and three months ago a scan showed the child was a boy.

The former Radio 1 star joins a long list of celebrities who have given birth at The Portland Hospital, including Posh Spice, Mel B and the Duchess of York.
