Madonna and Guy Ritchie
Madonna is said to be reveiwing security at her home
Thieves have broken into Madonna's London home while she, her boyfriend Guy Ritchie and her two young children were asleep upstairs.

The keys to Mr Ritchie's Range Rover were among items taken in Friday's raid and the vehicle was stolen.

It has been recovered by police in west London and forensic tests will be carried out.

It is the second time the rented 3m house in Kensington has been burgled in six months.

"A number of items were stolen including a set of car keys which were then used to steal the Range Rover," said a police spokeswoman.

The burglary comes just weeks after Madonna, 42, had said how she preferred living in London to Los Angeles because she felt "safer" in the capital.

The star is now reported to be reviewing security at house.

The property was first broken into in June.

The superstar arrived back from the launch of her film The Next Best Thing with Mr Ritchie, 32, to find police at her home.

Raiders had forced open the front gate of the property, before breaking into the gardener's quarters.

But they had not been able to break into the main part of the house and nothing belonging to Madonna was taken.

At the time she was pregnant with her son by Mr Ritchie, Rocco.

The superstar has bought a new 7m six-bedroom house in Notting Hill, which she is due to move into with her family shortly.

Just days ago Madonna wowed a select audience of 3,000 in her first UK gig for seven years at the Brixton Academy.

Almost nine million people are said to have watched the performance on the internet.
