| Thursday, 23 November, 2000, 17:04 GMT Zeta photo ban lifted ![]() The couple sold the rights to Hello's rival OK! The Court of Appeal in London has overturned a ban on Hello! magazine carrying photographs of the wedding of Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas. The couple had sold the photographic rights to their wedding in New York last weekend to Hello's rival, OK!, for 1 million. But on Monday, Hello! responded by publishing photographs of its own, and OK! and the couple applied for a High Court injunction to stop distribution of this week's magazine. An initial 15,750 copies of Hello! went on sale in London with the photos, but 755,900 other copies destined for the rest of the UK were withdrawn. Hello! responded by going to the Court of Appeal and asking Lords Justices Brooke, Sedley and Keene to discharge the injunction. After two days of argument, Lord Justice Brooke announced: "The court proposed to allow the appeal and discharge the injunction." He said they would give the reasons for their decision in "due course". |
