Right Royle fun: Sue Johnston and Ricky Tomlinson's show won two Baftas this year

Ricky Tomlinson, who plays Jim Royle, is in the running for best TV comedy actor, while Sue Johnston, who plays Barbara Royle, is nominated for best TV comedy actress.

Other nominees include Alistair McGowan for his Big Impression show, while Harry Hill is in the running for the best Live Stand-Up Award.

ITV dominates the best comedy drama nominations with shows Bob Martin, starring Michael Barrymore, Cold Feet and Safe as Houses.

The ceremony will be broadcast live from the London Television Centre on the capital's South Bank on 16 December.
