British Airways has won a High Court appeal to avert a series of planned strikes by its cabin crew, the first of which would have begun at midnight.
The decision was based on a technicality about whether Unite followed rules in contacting its members with strike result details.
BA boss Willie Walsh said he hoped the injunction would give the Unite union time to pause and reflect on the issues.
