Ryanair in ash cloud compensation row

EU-based airlines are now facing large bills for the food and hotel arrangements of the thousands of travellers delayed by the ash cloud.

But Ryanair has said it will only refund passengers up to the value of their ticket price, despite EU rules which say airlines are responsible for food and hotel expenses.
