Gadgets keep Apple profits up

Apple has shrugged off recession worries with a net profit of $1.67bn in the past quarter - an increase of 47% compared to a year earlier.

Although the number of iPods sold dropped by 8%, computer sales rose by 17%, and iPhone sales climbed 7%.
