Stiglitz: US diminished by crisis

The influence of the US has been greatly reduced by the economic crisis, according to the Nobel prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz.

He told the BBC "its ability to say that it knows how to run an economy is obviously going to be questioned."

Moving into the place previously occupied by the US, he believes, is China.
