Living apart under the same roof

Gemma and Ben had been together for three years when they bought a terrace house for £350,000 in south-east London in June 2008.

Five months later they split up, but because the value of their house had fallen they have been unable to sell and are forced to remain living under the same roof.

Propertywatch, a new series on property prices and the downturn, will be broadcast from 11-14 May at 2000 BST on BBC Two.
