A homeowner tells his story

The number of homes in the UK repossessed by lenders last year rose by 54% to 40,000.

The Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) also predicted that repossessions this year will reach around 75,000.

Steve Phelps from Yeovil told the BBC how he began to struggle with mortgage repayments when he started to lose work during the economic downturn.
