FSA chairman defends bonuses

Lord Turner, chairman of the Financial Services Authority, has told the BBC's Andrew Marr it will continue to pay its staff bonuses.

The FSA was created less than a decade ago by the government, but has suffered from accusations of substantial and systematic failure over the collapse of Northern Rock and the role of its former number two, Sir James Crosby in the troubled HBOS.
