Obama package could 'boost' economy

The US Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has delivered a speech about the global financial crisis during a visit Britain.

He said the global economy was being hit hard by the financial crisis and how governments responded would determine the timing and strength of recovery.

Mr Bernanke said US President-elect, Barack Obama's economic package could provide a "significant boost" to the US economy.
