Brokers react to news of a 0.5% cut in the interest rate from the The Bank of England.

Most global stock markets have rallied after investors absorbed news of a co-ordinated interest rate cut.

Banking shares helped to push the UK's FTSE 100 index 1.7% higher while France's Cac index climbed 2.7% and Germany's Dax index added 1.9%.
