Ikea's free ferry to Brooklyn

Ikea is offering shoppers in New York a new experience, a water taxi to ferry them across the East River from downtown Manhattan to its recently opened megastore in Brooklyn.

It is a first for the company and is proving a big hit with customers, tourists and even commuters, because it is free of charge.

The water taxi runs every 40 minutes during store hours. The BBC's Greg Wood made the crossing to sample the experience.
