Joss Stone has appeared in a Cadbury advert for its Flake. |
Cadbury has said that good performance from its key brands means sales growth in the three months to June will be higher than in the first quarter. The maker of Dairy Milk and Trident gum said it was confident of good results in 2008, despite the tough economic outlook and higher costs. Price rises and emerging markets meant revenues would beat targets, it said. Cadbury now focuses on chocolate, gum and sweets after spinning off its drinks business. The firm had reported 7% growth in confectionery sales for the three months to March. And it said that they would exceed the "4% to 6%" it had earlier forecast for the second quarter.
